In accordance with the reporting requirements of Section 18004(e) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, Texas A&M University-Commerce (A&M-Commerce), an institution receiving funds under this section, is providing the following information:
The total amount of funds that the institution will receive or has received from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.
A&M Commerce received $18,903,147.00 of HEERF Funding under Section 18004 (a)(1) to be distributed to Students as Emergency Financial Aid Grants.
An acknowledgement that the institution signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
The institution further certifies it will use a minimum $18,903,147.00, received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the HEERF (I-III) Funds, to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students from the HEERF Funds as of the date of submission.
As of June 30, 2023, the total amount of emergency grants distributed to students under section 18004(a)(1) Student Portion of HEERF Funds is $18,902,656.00.
The estimated total number of students at the institution eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
The estimated total number of students at A&M Commerce eligible to participate in programs under section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive emergency grants under section 18004(a)(1) of the Cares Act is 11,265*.

The method(s) used by the institution to determine which students receive HEERF Emergency Financial Aid Grants and grant awarded amount under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
Students submitted CARES Act emergency financial aid grant applications indicating their need for funds due to expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19.
The verified FAFSA and Pell Grant Eligibility was used to confirm that recipients met the eligibility requirements of the CARES Act.
A&M Commerce FY2020 Allocation & Distribution of Emergency Financial Aid grants to Students.
Through the federal HEERF Funds, emergency financial aid awards are provided to students demonstrating exceptional need for any component of the student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to Coronavirus, such as tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care), or child care.

Student Eligibility Updated May 11, 2021*: All students who are or were enrolled in an institution of higher education during the COVID-19 national emergency are eligible for emergency financial aid grants from the HEERF, regardless of whether they completed a FAFSA or are eligible for Title IV. Funds must be prioritized for students with exceptional need, such as students who receive Pell Grants or are undergraduates with extraordinary financial circumstances in awarding emergency financial aid grants to students. In addition, students exclusively enrolled in distance education are also eligible to receive emergency financial aid grants.

As of June 30, 2023, the total amount of funds expended under Section 18004(a)(1) Institutional Portion of HEERF Funds is $23,631,212.00.
As of June 30, 2023, the total amount of funds expended under Section 18004(a)(2) Supplemental Institutional Portion (SIP) of HEERF Funds is $1,863,705.00.
Per HEERF Reporting Guidelines regarding the Institutional portion, HEERF Institutional & SIP Quarterly Reporting Form must be publicly posted on institution’s primary website in the same place as the Student Portion Public Reporting no later than 10 days after the calendar quarter (July 10, October 10, January 10, and April 10).
